It sure looks like runoff is here for keeps on the Yellowstone River. As of today, the flows are shooting up and the water resembles chocolate milk. But is this the end of floating and fishing the river for the next month? Not so fast! The smart folks at NOAA are predicting that the river will crest on Saturday, then drop a bunch next week (check out the graph above with today’s prognostications). If they’re right, we may even get another chance to fish caddis dries before the Yellowstone blows out for real. Regardless, you may not want to hang up your waders just yet. Stay tuned….
