The Joe Brooks chapter of Trout Unlimited will be holding a “Pints for a Purpose” event at Katabatic Brewing in Livingston on Tuesday evening (6-8 p.m.). For every pint of beer sold, Katabatic will donate $1 to the chapter to fund such great projects as the Yellowstone River cleanup coming up in April. It’s a good chance to drink tasty beer and support this great cause at the same time.
What’s more, you’ll get to watch some fun amateur fly fishing videos during the event. We’ll be showing the 20 entries in our 4th annual fly fishing video contest. After the video viewing, you’ll also have the chance to vote on the contest winner, who will take home a brand new Scott G2 fly rod! See what these talented filmmakers produced for the contest. All in all, it should be a fun evening. You won’t want to miss it.
Bring a little extra cash with you on Tuesday and pick up your tickets for the Fly Fishing Film Tour, which is coming to Livingston’s Shane Center on this coming Thursday evening. The film tour is the major annual fundraiser for the Joe Brooks chapter of Trout Unlimited. We’ve heard rumors that the films in this year’s tour are not to be missed.
So there you have it, two opportunities next week to support this worthy organization, drink beer, and watch fun fly fishing videos.
